Should I buy the PPI for under $300 or wait and save up 4 the JL? thanx

if youve got the alternator ready do the 1000 jl it will give you more stable output accross your subwoofers operating range but id do the 500/1 if your on a stock alternator

i might be wrong, but i think someone told me id be underpowering my 2 w6v2's with the 500/1. im on the stock alternator but how much would a new 1 cost and what does it do?

well just because they are 400 rms doesnt mean thet absolutely must have it the box can help you with that....a 500/1 requires a 50 amp fuse

that PPI amp is perfect for what you are doing I would run that amp over the 500/1 but not over the 1000/1. If you go to the 1000/1 you are most likely going to need an alternator upgrade as Sean mentioned. The PPI 2200 does 800x1 @ 4ohms which is absolutely perfect for those two subs.
