I m wondering if I should go wth two 10's or one 12. It's either two Infinity Kappa Perfects 10.D or one Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1D. I m on a 600 dollar budget also. One ten is $150 a piece and the twelve is $130 a piece, but it use to be $180 though. So what I m wondering is why the 12 inch is cheaper than the 10 inch.

Maybe they're trying to phase out older model in 12".
Unless you're going to purchase higher powered 12", I'd go with 2 10".
Let's say the 10" subs are 150w rms. That's 300w rms combined. To replace that with one sub, you will need 300w 12" sub.
Make sure you build/buy the box according to the manufacturer's spec.

What do you mean high powered 12"? The 12" is 350RMS and the 10" is also 350RMS. If I get a 600 Watt 2 chaneel amp would I divide it to like 250 each for two 10"s?
