would sticking a magnet on the back of the speaker magnet of about the same size affect performance any.

If you have a large enough magnet on it while your playing the sub, it could effect it. The second magnet won't give it "any more movement with the same power" though. Think about it.... If you stick a second magnet on the first one, that meens the poles are the opposites. So when the original magnet on the sub is repelling the voice coil, the second one you stuck on there is pulling it back.
