Multiple Fuses

This might end up being a dumb question but why do some amps have multiple fuses? are the others like "backup" fuses?

The more fuses, the more current it uses, the more power the amp has.

Nah, if its a 2 channel or mono amp two fuses are sometimes utilized because one "bigger" fuse of the type they plan on using isn't available or at least not that common. They simply run a couple fuses in parallel and if each path has about the same resistance then around half the current runs through each one. Once one goes all the current travels through the other and it quickly follows suit.

I think multiple fuses in 4 channel amps are employed for the same reason or because the amp has separate power supplies.
