Those subs can either be wired as 2 or 8 ohm drivers individually which when combined can present either a 1, 4 or 16 ohm mono load. The 1400d isn't stable at 1 ohm and according to JL's specs only provides 240 watts at 4 ohms. Those 10w3's should still sound good at 120 watts each. They just won't be quite as loud or "tight". Just wire them like it shows in the "2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Series / Parallel" pic here: http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/index.html Its the third diagram down. -Fishy |
