I'm getting ready to rebuild my trunk now that i'm getting two new subs with boxes and i'm thinking it'd be nice to accent it somehow. How would i hook up some LED's to it? i've already got the 12V source back there for my amp...but how would i be able to turn them on/off with the car like the amp? or would i need a rocker switch?

You could trigger a relay with your amp turn-on wire:

or just use a rocker switch.

Just remember most LED's can't handle a lot of current so a current limiting resistor is necessary. Here's an example of how you might wire a few white LED's:

from here:

LED stands for light emitting diode and as diodes they only let current go one way so unlike a lightbulb polarity makes a difference. Make sure you have the cathode(short wire, flat side) hooked to ground.

[note] if you plan on using a bunch of these things I hope you're up for some serious soldering.

Yeh and Fishy's got you covered.lol BUt also if you do that account for that extremely little space you're using. But i dont think it'll matter that much.
