lol, I dont have any money right now, I just spent it all on a deck, speakers and an amp wiring kit. I got 2 10" Rockwood subs and a little shitty amp for free from my sisters boyfriend so I'm using that for now. I'm just looking around. I'll have about $300 for subs and an amp. Any suggestions?

I liked clarion until i baught one. I got a dxz35mp backin 2003..it looked awsome, had cool features (and played mp3's) but i soon discovered that
1. the output was very dirty, 18 watts RMS 1% distortion.

2. My cell phone interfered very badly with it (not a buzz or interference) If my phone was on inside the car, the sound went THUMP THUMP THUMP for no reason..whew and it was loud!!

and finally i stuck a cd in it 3 months ago and i ceard CLICK, CLICK, PING, SNAP, and my cd was stuck...i got it out, and something was broken inside...it was still under warranty however, and it needed some springs and whatnot..and did you know there is absolutley no way to get in touch with clarion? Try finding a 1-800 number on their website, or an email adress, or a fax or anything. I found nothing. Now i am an alpine only person. I love my 9835 :-)

And to be honest, i like kennwood...they have been around for so long and i have owned so much kenwood stuff in my day that i cant complain about anything kenwood.

I think it really depends on what Clarion deck you buy. Some are good and some arent I guess. I hope mine is good.

Stay away from those kenwood subs for sure, i have heard a better line than those and they even sounded bad.

Kenwood sucks. My friend has 2 12"s in his truck and it barely sounds like he has subs outside of the truck.
