Use the manufacturer's recomended size for a ported box. |

New member Username: Chvyzl1LA, CA Post Number: 6 Registered: Mar-05 | you can input your own sub, but your right, you have to have the specs... try google'in it and maybe you can find some specs... i'll see if i can find any... if you can't find any, i'd just call cerwin vega and give them any kind of serial nuber you can find... manufacturers always have the specs of there products even if it takes 3 people that dont know what they are talkin about and then finally a technician... lol good luck, i'll see what i can find |

New member Username: Chvyzl1LA, CA Post Number: 9 Registered: Mar-05 | hey john, i went through some things and found that a 2 cubic foot box tuned to 30hz (port would be 4in dia. by 15in long) would give you a good sound curve... no gain loss until 40hz and pretty respectable down to 28hz (only a -5db loss). about 90db at 20hz 1 meter away at 1 watt of power. these are pretty good subs and im thinking i might just have to get one. might go for a 15 tho. lol |

Bronze Member Username: Chvyzl1LA, CA Post Number: 11 Registered: Mar-05 | i just put together some specs... took specs from some of cerwin vega's other subs and from that got a good estimate of how it would run... not exact, but close enough Qts: .35 Qms: 4.29 Qes: .39 Vas: 80.5 liters F_s: 25 SPL: 96 Pe: 600 Xmax: 19 mm btw just bought one... getting here in 3 days, box building time :-) |
