Do i really need one or not????

I run a T1 sub, T162C coaxials, ravdvd2 headunit, T5002 amp, T3002 amp, and Stinger cap and wires, this is all in my 96 camaro Z28, do i need a beefed up alternator???? OR does anyone know???

It wouldn't hurt to get one...you are running a good amount of stuff....not to mention you're gonna want those amps to get clean power and not clip...

What is Clip jeff??? by the why im anon who asked the question, but i finally registered. Ohh yeah i also have 4 more monitors in my car, so does lean more towards getting a new alternator.

It's when the sub is calling for more power from the amp than the amp can give. So the amp sends the sub a clipped signal; a square sound wave. I guess square sound waves contain more energy, but they are destructive to speakers. Amplifiers produce the most current right before they go into clipping.
