New member Username: AlpineuserPost Number: 8 Registered: Mar-05 | THD is total harmonic distortion. Im pretty sure below 80hz you cant really tell. Dunno this is kinda like the blind leading the blind here |
Bronze Member Username: PeerlessexampleWichita, Kansas U>S>A Post Number: 19 Registered: Feb-05 | what is 80hz? what unit and measurement is that? also. could you explain why they make multiple channeled amps to run subs? because u can just wire them in differant ways. whats the point of having multiple channels? i know you can use multiple channels to run equal power to speakers but subs are wired together... |
Silver Member Username: Marley289Post Number: 127 Registered: Nov-04 | Hz is part of the frequencies, you dont have to worry much about them unless you have a ported box. they make multiple channel amps mostly for hooking it up to speakers. and in my opionion, that would be a good amp because memphis makes good quality amps from what i hear. just make sure you can wire your subs to 2 ohms. |

Even if the THD rating on an amp is high, it's really not gonna matter. THD numbers for subs can reach as high as 10%. 3. Amps with the lowest levels of total harmonic distortion are not necessarily going to sound the best. |
