Hey, I am looking at this amp, and was wondering if it would be a good investment to pick up 2 of them off of Ebay ($150 each), and run each of my Volfenhag subs to them? Well, 1 sub per amp! If anyone sees as to how this is a bad investment TELL ME! If anyone has any experience with this amp TELL ME! Lol ok, that's enough for now!

The amp is pretty good. Don't know about the price, could be good, don't really no. Isaac really like's them, so they can't be that bad. I also like Audiobahns amps.

I have tested Audiobahn's Intake series amp. It is good for the money. The cheapest I've seen on eBay was $130. You might want to shop around.
I think you sould try 1 amp first. Not like your sub is power hungry.

At Circuit City they are like 350 each, so I thought I was getting a good deal.

$350? Are you kidding? That is some ripoff. Not as bad as Futureshop or Bestbuy in Canada. They take $340 amp and charge $899.

Well Hunter, I'm sorry but I just don't have the kind of money to buy one of those Zapco, Arc, US, JBL, or any other crazy priced amp. Anyone know anything about Lanzar Heritage 2000W mono amp?

Lanzar? Stay away from those suckers. If money is a problem, then look at PPI's PC/PCX series amp. Lot of them are priced under $200, but very good amp.

Um, I looked at the PPI's and they are almost 400 bucks for 1000W. And 250 for 500W. Wouldn't I need at least and 800W amp as to not underpower? the two subs? even at 2 ohms its only 500W MAX. That could be a problem. I dunno, I may go with the JBL for that reason.

That Lanzar seems nice, but its hard to believe I can get close to 2000W for only 300 bucks. How true are its ratings?

Whenever you doubt some manufacturer's spec, use $1 per 1w terminology. I find that is a true measure of real power. Use PPI's white Art series amp. The 600.2 is 600w rms amp, and it sold for $699 several years ago. Now you take Pyramid/Sony/Lanzar's 1000w, $200 amp and compare. If you actually take the time to test the amp, you'd notice that half away up the volume, the amp will over heat and distort/clip. This is what kills most subs and speakers. Yes the amps are cheap, but is it worth burning out your precious subs slowly?
Some manufacturers do tell half truth when they say 1000w. You might get that under extreme conditions, but notice they never say "clean" power. That is what you're really paying with great amps. True, clean useable power.
Another thing, 1000w from those amps and 1000w from a real amp will sound totally different.
Test one out and you'll understand.

James, the specs on the subs are 500W RMS, and 1000W MAX. Isaac, so would I better off with one of the JBL GTO 1201.1 amps compared to the Lanzar? The JBL is still within my price range and I'm sure would give me plenty of power.

I have two of the subs btw, in a sealed box. Not as efficient, but nicer rolloff.
