is there a diffrence when the subs are flipped, so the magnet is outside the box? I have 2 type-R's in a custom enclosure regualar style (sub magnet is inside)

Thanks in Advance.

just looks, but i'd think you'd have less surface area moving when they are inverted.
anyone else know about this?

With the magnet inverted you gain more space from the box. When you put the speaker in with the magnet inside you lose however much space the speaker displaces. If you have a box that is too small then inverting it would, in most cases, make it sound better. But if you have a good sized box it wouldn't matter. I'm talking about sealed boxes, I'm not sure what would happen in a ported.
