Should I get a sealed or ported for my two 12" idmax in the trunk of my car. I can put one of my back seats down if that makes a difference. Also those speakers are 1000watts rms if I push 900 to them is that good or should I go a little less or a little more. Please help Im not a car audio genius.

I would probably go ported with the ID MAX's. 900 should also be fine for wattage. And yes, putting the back seat down will make a very big difference, it coulpes the air from the cabin and the trunk, and will make it louder.

i went ported check it out http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/772119 and it was like 10 times louder in SPL and it still has its good old SQ too, so if you simply want more SPL go Ported!

He's not asking about Eclipse's. Certain subs sound better in certain enclosures.
