Bronze Member Username: DankmanGranger, Indiana United States Post Number: 19 Registered: Jan-05 | I got the new eclipse aluminum and its great and its really loud without having to put more than 500 watts RMS to it, or go with those new MTX 7500 or 8500's, just some suggestions. |
Bronze Member Username: Bassfreak596Post Number: 81 Registered: Oct-04 | yeah.. i had thought about the Alpine type X.. but i didnt know how they sounded. i m looking for a decent blend of spl/sq.. dont want the extremes.. well thats the problem Dankman.. i have the bx1500d amp.. and i ll have to put the coils in series for the 4ohm load.. it ll push 500w to the sub then. but then theres so much potential going waste ! Rob, i m partial to the eclipse.. but the new Alum series puts me off for its only 900w.. the older 8112 series was better i feel.. i dont know about the MTX. i can give max of 3cu ft for an enlosure. and only one sub fits in cause i need to carry a lot of stuff in the trunk. thanks you guys. |

Silver Member Username: James1115Wilton, Ct Post Number: 600 Registered: Dec-04 | DD makes a very good product. I would recomend the ID max. I heard one of these on wednesday in a tahoe and holy SH&T. I have always been a big Image Dynamics fan but now even more then before. Here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18803%26item%3D5749799045 %26%26 under 300 and will blow everything else away that you were looking at. Well thats my opinion I guess! |
Bronze Member Username: Bassfreak596Post Number: 85 Registered: Oct-04 | whoa.. all these choices are making me go crazy ! how does the eclipse Alum compare to the Type X or the id max ? |
Silver Member Username: James1115Wilton, Ct Post Number: 602 Registered: Dec-04 | ID max is far superior to both of them. Then between the two othes they are pretty equal with the Type X being a little better in my opinion. Both type x and eclipse alum's are very good subs but not in the same class as the IDmax. |
