Has anyone here bought an Atlas 12". Do they only recommend that you use a sealed enclosure on the woofers. I was looking at the box size tables and it confused the hell out of me. All those QTS number. Anyone have a recomendation on the sealed size that i can understand. I listen to rap and rock and country.

I bought an Atlas 12" and talked to Chad for a little bit. I'm sure the Atlas would be happier in a sealed box. His advice was 1-1.5cf with polyfil to allow give it some kick, . A littlle larger for better low-end. I modelled it in WinISD and don't see a reason to go above 2cf. Just leave the gold connections open. If you want you can always add speaker wire to close it, and see if you like it better.
