Does anyone know what the "core" charge is when you buy a new alternator? Is it like the battery? Can i do something to take away that fee?

core charge is when give them your original alt (core) so they can have one to work on while they send you an upgraded alt. likely, not sure, the new alt you get is someone else's core charge.
get it now?
