300 watt amp for 250 watt RMS sub okay?

I have a 300 watt RMS Rockford Fosgate mono amp and I'd like to use it on an Infinity 1032w rated at 250 watts RMS, 1000 watts peak. Is this a good idea?

you should just get the 1232w, that one is rated at 300, it would be probably be a better idea
