when you have an amp that can push say 300 rms at 1ohm or 4 ohms and its a mono amp, if you have two subs that are 250 rms is it pushing 300 t0 each sub or only half that

Each sub gets 150W rms.

It would be total power divided by the number of subs. So yes, 150W to each sub.
