I was thinking about getting CDT HD62 components. They want 180W X 2 RMS, so I'll need an amp. Are there any amps I can mount up front? It seems like I'd have to mount these larger amps in the trunk, run the rca's and power back then the speaker wires all the way back up to the front. Is this normal? It didn't seem like there would be room under either seat.
You can buy amps that are 1.5" high. They WILL fit under most cars. A better way would be installing the amp in the trunk and running the speaker wires to the front. And yes, that is normal.
