Ok I've just bought a kicker c18d (factory refurbished) and it's pretty nice. The thing is kicker doesn't specify anything but a 2.2 - 3.3 sealed enclosure. Well i'm more worried about the most bump that this speaker will push, and I also want a ported enclosure. FS = 17.3 Vas = 25.27 (cu.ft.) QTS = .398 Xmax = 11.11 millimeters
Anyone got any suggestions for the best volume of a ported enclosure? I can do the port calculations elsewhere, unless someone is just so cool they wanna tell me exactly what i need
ps - i read on here that they'll preform in a 5cu.ft. sealed enclosure... if so that'd be great. my box volume now is so small i can' turn my amp up without the speaker becoming really really distorted.
