Hey,I was just wondering wut type of box to go with,for one JL 12w6v2 hooked up to a 500/1.I have an extended cab truck so space is kinda limited.I want more spl but still good sq.I want to be heard far away.So i should problly go with ported right? And how much of a differance would a sealed or ported make anyway?
Yeh i would go ported. You'd gain around 3db with ported over sealed but only if the box is built and tuned correctly

How much is 3db would i even be able to hear the differance? Ive herd that you get a tighter cleaner sounding bass with seald and with ported you take a chance of messing up your sub is this true?
