ok try this one on for size i put my sub ina a box i built and i turned it on and it broke the baffle in half

its 3/4 mdf and just snapped it in half...owned its life...it was amazingly powerful...it was intense

Must be a pretty Stout sub. Should have atleast doubled uo on the front baffle.

the baffle must be at least 1" thick, mdf. I just build a box for my 15" x.x.x. about a month ago. I used 3/4" mdf and 5/8" mdf boards,glued and screwed them toghether and its amazing!!the rest of the box was 3/4" mdf

yup for these big subs ya need to double up the front baffle or face of the box and glue it up to support the weight of the sub itself.
these subs can weigh about 50lbs or more a piece.
