I would like to know if two sub that are single 4ohms are wired in parallel. What would the watts be on the subs. Say the amp puts 500 watts, now would that be 250 watts to each sub or how does it work.

if they are wired in parallel that would give u a 2 ohm load. If the amp is rated at 500 rms @ 2ohms then each sub would recieve 250 watts.

So if the amp is 4ohms stable when bridged and rated at 500 rms, two 4ohms subs that are wired parallel will be 2ohms load, so that will push a little more that 250 rms each sub or does that matter.I do not know if my amp is 2ohms stable when bridged so running two subs at 2ohms bridged will this hurt my amp. You can put your hand on it and it is warm but not real hot. It's been doing fine for over a week now.Any help will be great.
