Personally I'd go with the 12 W3v2 because I think the W7 is way overpriced. If you have the money then buy it. Look into Adire Audio subwoofers though. The Brahma and Shiva subs are really nice from them. Glasswolf knows these subwoofers pretty well.
Tha w7 would be a lot better, but it is an expensive sub, but if you're lookin for an alternative to it, and would like to still go JL then i would recommend tha w6v2. But even with its high price tag a lot of people would recommend tha re triple x or brahma, which are cheaper and a lot of people would say better
