The RE is an SLP sub only.
It's not really meant as a daily driver musical sub.
I'd opt for the Shivas, and 500-600 watts each to drive them, myself.

Sound Quality is a big part of rock Music and the 12"X.X.X.is not known for Sound Quality but it does have a 32mm XMax so If you want something that Rivals the 13W7 in SPL go Re X.X.X. but If you want SPL and Sound Quality go with the Shivas

in a truck, forward firing or down firing depending on location.
the 13W7 with a JL 1000/1 amp is a fantastic combo.

is the 13w7 good for SQ and a daily driver? And by location, what do you mean? I can only put in the back.

the 13W7 is a great sub from all aspects with the possible exception of price.
even being behind the seats you have options.
you can turn the extended cab into an enclosure, you can fit the sub between the jump seats, etc.. it all depends on priorities.

thanks a lot. I'm going to get 1 13W7. I don't plan on using the back for anything else, so how should i mount the sub?

I'd fire it forward in a slot-vented box built to JL's specs.
