I got 2 12" alpine type R's which are being powered by a PPI PCX2125.. i got it bridged and i blew 2 fuses in less then an hour.. i unbridged it for the time being but how can i make it so i dont blow fuses

the fuses should be rated so they can take the maximum power your amp can deliver. the only thing i can think of is that the original fuses in the amp were too small, so id replace them with ones of a higher current rating.

what is the coil configuration for each of the type R subs?
are they dual 2 or dual 4 ohm coils?
if the amplifier is bridged, it only goes to 4 ohms.

you've probably got a 2 ohm load on a bridged amp, and it's blowing fuses due to over-current
