I just bought a used type R to see what it sounds like, what would be the best amp to run it off

http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=490&1=491&3=3053

would this amp work well or what would be another great amp to run it off i have an extra 6500D but i figured thatd be a bit too much

its a 12 inch SWR1241D

I think that would be an excellent amp for that sub...I just got 3 of the SWR1021D's and they sound tight & fantastic!!

I installed 1 in my wife's Xterra in an old Q-logic .65sf box I had and have it hooked up to an Audiobahn A4004T (bridged 300x1@4ohm)

The other 2 will be installed sometime next week in my 2001 Silverado (getting the box from supercrewsound) and I will be running those off of a new Audiobahn A1504DP (each one a seperate channel) 450x2@1ohm

I know people don't like Audiobahn but I've had great luck with their amps....their speakers and subs are a different story.

More power then that; feed that R a little over 300 watts.
