if money were no issue and were givin power by either the mtx1501d or a JL 1000.1 amp which would last longer sound better and hit harder

I'd take the 13W7 with the 1000/1 hands down.

here's a nice example of a 12W7's xmax

yeah.
it's fun to see things like that once in a while..
that guy is playing a song by 3 6 Mafia.
That 12" really jumps, and just think.. the 13W7 has even more Xmax and twice the power input with a 1000/1

muahaha

the 1000/1 has 500+ damping and the 1501d has like 200 or something, so the 1000/1 will give you a much better sound and will last longer and will give you the same power output from 11-14.5 V and 1.5-4 ohms

one thing, can that amp handle less than 1.5 ohms GW? or is it designed to carry 2 w7's?

two 12W7s or one 13W7
it's stable from 1.5 to 4 Ohms.

go with the mtx i have herd the w7 13 and the mtx 15" you cannot compare the two mtx plows the JL away. The 15" was so loud the cars around me shook like they had 2 12" in the trunk. The 15 will blow away the w7 13 and cost you less money.

the 500/1 is matched to the 12W7.
the 1000/1 would over-power the 12" and most likely damage it.
Look at JL's recommended power handling charts. The 1000/1 is matched to the 13W7, which would move even more than that 12" did..
