I am ready for a new system and I think I have what a I wanted picked out. It's 1 13Kv.2 and an ED Nine.2. The sub is 350w rms and the amp puts out 450w rms at 4 ohm. The sub and the amp together cost 250.00. I heard ED makes great stuff but is this deal to good to be true? I will probably put it in a 1 cubic foot sealed box. Another thing i need to know is how this will compare to 2 RF Punch HX2 (1000w rms total)in a big ported box powered by an MTX RT2400x rated 750w rms. (really puts out around 500w at 12 volts.) Thanks for any input

Ive got the NINe 2 and a 13Kv2 in my work truck. sub is in a .9cf sealed box. Its not incredibly loud(mid-low 130s), but it blends perfectly with my front stage. the SQ is very good...rock kick drums sound unbelieveable. The 2 RFs are probably louder, but Id bet the SQ is not so good. If you changed to a ported box with a low (26-30hz) tuning...it would be comparable in SPL, while retaining great SQ. the eD sub really blew me away for the cost. Ive heard just about every sub out there too... If youre trying to get a louder set-up, thats not going to cut it for you. However, 2 13Kv2s and a NINe 1 would blow what youve got now out of the water in SQ and SPL.
Do you also have ED components? Do they sound pretty good too? There is a package that also includes them in it. Would a need a small 2 channel amp to push them or could I run it just from my HU. (about 20w rms x4)

The eDis are a great comp set. I dont own a set though, no. I would recommend running at least 75wRMS on each side, otherwise youll be wasting your time. The eDis are a joint effort between CDT and eD, mostly CDT stuff, but the eDis have a better woofer than the equivilent CDT set.
Yeah, the thing is though if i get another amp for the components I will definitely need a new alternator. And from what I have heard, I can't fit a bigger alternator in my car without getting a custom hood or something.
