I have an Infinity 1030W and Infinity reccomends a 0.75 ft box with one inch of fiberfill on all sides. I'm wondering what effect the fiberfill has. Someone told me using it was a bad idea. I have read elsewhere that it makes the box seem bigger to the driver. What's the verdict on this stuff?
makes the box seem a little bit bigger...wont hurt your sub...

It slows down waves inside the box, making the sub "think" the box is bigger. It doesnt hurt to put a little poly in there, but you can mess things up if you use way too much. 1 inch on all sides isnt much really.
