Can any1 tell me if i can do this. Ok first i started building a ported box with two chambers with 2 dd 10" subs, but i bought the 12" 3500 "d" series subs and the ported box is to little. So i was wondering if i can run the subs free air even though i have ports in the box

free air isnt always a good idea, you're better off spending the time to make even a sealed box for them if ported will be too hard

free air doesnt sound very good and its easy to over excurse a sub and destroy it using the trunk as your enclosure....

you can run them free air but its not a good idea

running subs with no suspension at all causes them to over-extend very easily, with little power applied.
you'll most likely get very little bass, and end up damaging the speakers.
