Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 4930 Registered: Dec-03 | very easily http://www.bcae1.com/2ltlpwr.htm you could probably blow the sub using 10 watts. if you set the gain too high to compensate for lack of power, you cause the amplifier to "clip" which sends DC voltage across the speaker coils. this causes the coils to ehat up, and you cook the sub. result: daed sub. same thing happens with not having enouch alternator current for the amplifier(s) in high current systems |
