Whats the difference between ported and sealed enclosures. What exactly are they and what type of cars benefit from either one.

Haha, um I am also a noob, but from the names, I think a ported enclosure means its got a hole channeling the air somewhere whereas a sealed one doesn't. My brother, I believe, has a "ported" enclosure since its channeled from the trunk to just above the rear seats. As for sq and spl, sq is sound quality and spl is sound pressure level. Someone just asked this I think this afternoon. Look around and you should be able to find the thread.
