Unless you have a 4 channel amp you can't do it. Well you could if you have a two channel amp that'll do mixed mono but that would require the use of a passive crossover network whose coil is gonna suck the power out of that sub.

If you plan on buying an amp the cheapest route would be to run your 6x9's off your head unit and get a 2 channel amp stable to 2 ohms stereo(4 ohms bridged).

Your best bet would be to pick up a decent 4 channel amp thats stable to 2 ohm stereo(4 ohms bridged) and run the 6x9's off the front right and left channels. Hook the two 2 ohm voice coils of your sub in series. That will give you a 4 ohm woofer. Bridge the rear channels of your amp into this and you're golden.

Hold on. I need some practice with Paint. I'll upload you a diagram.

Sure, 2 amps might be better if you have room to install them. That way you can get a more efficient, higher powered class D monoblock for your sub and a smaller and cleaner A/B amp for the 6x9's. You'll have to find a monoblock stable to 1 ohm and wire the voice coils in PARALLEL tho.

Yeah the more I think about it the more I think you'd be better off with two separate amps even if you don't use a class D. It'll give you more flexibility to upgrade in the future plus I'm sure you want at least 500 watts for your sub and a 4 channel that will do that is gonna cost mucho dinero.

What brand/model sub and 6x9's do you have? I'll look around the web and see if I can find somethin pretty cheap that will work.

These two amps would work well and are discontinued so are well below list.

Soundstream Rub 300/2 for highs.

Soundstream Rub 500/2 for the sub.

I picked up a 300/2 a couple months ago and it sounds great especially at that price(list was like $400).

I don't know your price range or if you'd mind a used amp but you could go with the 300/2 for highs and save a bit and go with a used JBL BP600.1 off ebay for your bass.

or if you want to look towards the future you could even do a 1200.1.

It'll produce 600 watts into a 4 ohm load(just like my diagram) and you'll have the ability to go an ear bleeding 1200 watts with some different subs(or another of what you have) later.

Just some thoughts. There's plenty of other options. These are just some of the amps I'm familiar with. Just look for a monoblock stable to 1 ohm or a 2 channel stable to 2 ohm stereo(4 ohm bridged) for that sub. Any decent 2 channel amp will work well for the 6x9's.

good luck :-)
