Yeah I saw them things at Lowes or Home Depot, can't remember, and was thinkin about the same thing. The only problem is that in most vehicles space is at a premium and cylinders just don't fill that space up very efficiently.

What might be neat and would fill up space efficiently would be a sonotube inside a square(or rectangular) box with an inner width equal to the outside diameter of the tube. Kinda like a round peg fit snugly into a square hole. If you make the depth of the box a lil longer than the tube you could use the open space at the four corners as ports.

Hmmmm..... may have to get out the calculator and figure some tuning frequencies.

That would be a neat design for 3 8w7's in my Explorer. Definitely would look different.

[note]what sizes to those sonotubes come in anyways? sure wouldn't have much baffle with this design tho.

you could do that. This is cut and pasted from a website but im pretty sure i read they go down to 6 inch demensions that are pretty long

Forms available in lengths up to 20 feet and column dimensions of 12, 16, 18 and 24 inches, plus can be easily cut to length and drilled at the job site to meet project-specific requirements
