I am about to buy two 12" Cerwin Vega V-max subs, but i have one final question about something. One of the subs is priced higher by $5 and it is a DVC what does this mean, the other sub is the same sub for less but it is a SVC, I am wondering what is the difference in the two subs, and what the SVC and DVC stand for. -Thanks-
SVC is single voice coil, and DVC is dual voice coil. the only difference between the two is that the DVC model will give you a few more wiring options. since you are buying 2 of them, the 2 SVCs will wire down to 2 ohms and the DVC will wire down to 1 ohm. what type of amp are you getting or do you already have?
i do not have an amp i need to buy one but i do not know what kind of amp to buy, which model of the sub will give me better options with subs, or are they both the same?
