Polyfil did wonders

Well lastnight I went to walmart around 1am and bought 2lbs of polyfil and got home stuffed each chamber(1.25cuft) with 1lb of it and stampled it on the inside, hooked it back up, and was amazed with the results best $12 ever spent for the system.

Hey, what exactly did it do? Did it make the bass tighter and louder? I am heavily thinking about putting some old pillowstuffing stuff I have which is pretty much polyfill in my sub box, since the box is a teeny bit too small. Can you tell me what all it changed in meens of sound?

All polyfill does is slow down the sound waves so you will have better SQ and alittle more SPL. If your box is only like .2 or so off then it will help the subs proformance.

Well then you should get a pretty good benefit from it. Just pick up a pillow or 2 and stuff it in. You will need about 1pound per cubic ft.

Oh be sure to cut the pillow and take the filling out lol.

Hey JayJ, by the way. My box is 2.28 cu. ft. Would I use 2 lbs of poly fill then? 1 pound for each fubic foot?

Ok, your last post wasn't there when I wrote my last one so don't think I can't read. I just have a big bag of the crap so I'll weigh out 2 lbs of it.
