JLAudio 1000/1 to a pair of W7 and JLAudio 500/1 to a 1 W7.

Remember the W7 is 3 ohms.

Kicker save a little more and get a JL 1000/1. It is set up to work with the W7 better then any other amp your going to find. You can get one here for $729.00 plus shipping.

i'd get the kicker for 389.99 on eBay and spend the other money on something else, insurance and gas to ride around and mess with the system

JL is the best

I wouldn't get a kicker for that sub. The W7s are made to run with JL amps. You can mix match if you want but I would stay with the JL 1000/1 like JayJ said. Cause where else are you going to find an amp thats puts out 1000+ RMS watts @ 3ohms

that sub runs at 1.5 ohms right?

dual 3?

you would get about 900w rms at 1.5 ohms with the kicker 1200.1

i would reccomend a jbl bp1200.1 and buying a seperate equalizer/crossover for subsonic filter

i heard that it voids jls warranty to use amps other than its own and a couple of other high end amps. i know jbl is not on the list.

jeez bacon, guess you really dont have much experience or seen a kx1200.1 birth sheet. the kx1200.1 generally benches around 1400-1450w rms, not a flat 1200, of course.

i'm not going to do the math but i'd say once you equate that into 1.5 ohms it's going to be more than 900. as i stated before, get the kx1200.1 and save the money.

anyone that acts like W7's only run using JL amps is either a fanboy or a dumbazz.

A JL 1000/1 typically benches in the 1300-1400W range itself, sometimes more than that. The 13W7 is dual 1.5 ohms, which can only be wired to 3 ohms to that Kicker amp, or pretty much any amp with that matter. With a 3 ohm load, the Kicker would only give around 450W into the sub, and will be underpowering it by a large amount.
