RE is a good brand, Idk how they're low end stuff is though.

Another option to consider would be like a 15" type-r

I would definitely look into a 1 subwoofer setup for him. Rather than buy 2 cheap woofers get 1 decent one.

Other brands to look into:
JL
Kicker
Image Dynamics
AudioQue
Infinity
MB Quart
Diamond audio
Cerwin Vega
boston Acoustics
I already said Alpine

I dont think the re 10 will be loud enough for your friend. A alpine type r would probably be a good choice for low and high end bass.

trust me he will be alot happier buying 1 good sub rather than 2 sub par subs. That alpine amp with a 10" or 12" type-r would be a pretty nice setup.

I thought you were only looking for one sub so I planned around that so if your planning on running two 10's youll need dual 2 ohm voice coils.

You could also go with a single alpine type r 15 dual 4 ohm for 205 shipped and have more cone area than 2 10's. It just depends how much room you you have.

Typical ignorant and stupid reece comment.

I run 2 10" Fi Qs and it sounds great...... I like to play it for dumb people who think "10" subs don't have good low end" and watch their jaws drop. I also remember a DD system with 2 9510s that did over 150 db.
