can any amp run subs at 1,2,4 or 8 ohms? i want to buy 2 cerwin vega vmax 12's. the SVC version is 4ohms and the DVC is 2ohms. which coil setup should i get, and how should i wire them, paralell or series. Each sub is 300w RMS 800w peak. which amp would be best to run these. (how much power, channels?) Thanks
No not every amp can run at ohms like that. I would get the 4 ohm SVC and wire them parallel to a 2ohm load and buy a JBL 600.1 to push them. @ 2ohms you would be getting 300 watts to each sub.
