im going to fit a smallish system... looking at some audiobahn stuff for my new car, but have heard mixed things about it...?
i might install:

Audiobahn Eternal 12" (AWES12P)
Audiobahn A8000V amp
with a Pioneer Premier DEH-P690UB
with a few 6x9s which I haven't decided on yet.

What would you say about the audiobahn stuff? as I'm pretty set on the HU.

stay away from audiobahn. they sound and perform like crap.

tell me your budget and i will find you a system way better than the audiocrap you posted up there.

Yeah, my first "system" was a couple of Audioburn 12's in a bandpass box with a Kenwood amp.. Young and naive, never again.

im definately sticking with the pioneer HU.
It's a fiat stilo, and was looking at 12" hopefully... as to the number of subs... i dont really mind, although there isnt alot of space in the boot.
I don't mind overly, it's only for cruising x)
i just want them to sound and look the dog's bollocks.
as you may be able to tell, yes i am new to car audio

lol

Well M.S., instead of just stating your opinion..maybe you could give a few suggestions for a sub and a HU?

The pioneer 690 is a nice headunit man. What type of setup are you going for (SPL, SQ, SQL)? After your equipment is chosen, I could possibly design you a box for your dad to build if you wanted me to.

Couple of things

1. M.S. Is there value to your post?

2. That fiat(isn't that like a brava?) ,if I remember correctly, has a tiny trunk? You actually may not be able to fit a proper size box for a 12" and have any room left.

3. You may want to consider a powerful 10" sub combo maybe like a re or even a lower end dd sub.

Peace and good luck

well, the fiat i was going to buy has been sold!
so that's not happening any more...
Thanks Nick, i shall get back to you on that one.
Im looking for something which hits the lows hard and clean, although im not aiming to go all out to crank the decibels up.
I've heard amazing things about the JL 12w7s...?
How much space would you need to run one of these?

Well I think im pretty much decided...
im jus gna keep it simple, and run a 12w6 off a JL 500/1 in a sealed box, with the pioneer HU.

although im thinking of mounting the sub and amp side by side, so like a V-shape install... there wouldn't be any effect on the sound balance with the sub not being balanced in relation to the car would there?

" 1. M.S. Is there value to your post? "

I thought so.... you may not. I recommended not to get an autobahn sub or pioneer HU, in not so many words........ That opinion based on my experience and experience of people I know, take what you want from it.
