i have a u.s. amps 1600.2 amp that gives out 1100 rms at 4 ohms. and right now i have 2 cvr 12's that are 4 ohm dvc and are wired in series. but they guy at the store said that maybe if i go with just one 12''L7 in a ported box that it would sound louder. i was going to buy a ported box for the cvr's but before i do that i found out that i could trade them with the sealed box for a L7. so which would sound louder? the 2 cvr's or 1 L7. should i go head and get the ported box for the cvr's or trade for the L7?
You don't want to buy a pre-made box like the guy is trying to sell you at the store. You won't get anywhere near the maximum performance from your subs! READ BELOW.
Can you build your own box? If not, contact somebody like Mark Potts, Logan, or Pete from TTB and get your enclosure done right! It is the most important part of your system.
You would have to ask one of the guys listed above. The best option for you would probably be Logan since he is on this forum and should be able to build it at a decent price.
