Ok.. here's the deal.. I have an JBL BPx1100.1 Amplifier and an Alpine SWR 1242D Subwoofer wired at 2 ohms in a sealed box. I would like to get my car poundin and add another Type-R 1242D sub.
I was asking around best buy and they mentioned that an amp shouldn't have over 80% of it's RMS power used or something like that... otherwise I might risk blowing my amp. I don't know if it's true or not.. but I definatly don't wanna risk blowing my amp. (It's fairly new)
I wanna get both subs wired at 2 ohm and then get a new ported duo box.
Will it be possible to bridge the subs to my one amp.. or will it be too risky and blow my amp?
