i know we get alot of these in here, but i just have to ask before making a commitment to buying this sub. right now i have a 10" L5 dual 2 ohm sub in a 1.8 cuft. ported box tuned to 33hz. would a brahma 10" dual 2 ohm be louder and with the same box and same amp? i know it will have better sound quality, but my L5 gets pretty damn loud for just 1 10" sub.

i would say the brahma might be louder, but i think, and i'm no expert so don't just take my word, it might need a smaller box than 1.8.

sx would kill the L5 in every category, the L7 would be able to hold its own in spl againts a sx not in sq though

i've only heard one sx, and it was a 12" and it was loud.

i'm far from the most knowledgable person on this site but i would go with the sx. it will definately get loud and again it will have better sq. louder than the l5, i think so, maybe just under if anything. personally i would get the sx just because the sq is better, it will play extremely loud, and will hold up better then the l5.

by the way, can you fit 2 10"s? and what amp are you using?

yeah i could prolly fit two 10's in a sealed box at prolly 1 cu ft per chamber. the amp i have now is a kenwood 9512d. 900 rms at 1 ohm. i also have a power acoustik 2400d. but the output terminals are bad and i cant recieve anything from it. if anyone knows how to fix this, PLEASE let me know.

i'd get a new amp. kenwoods aren't the best and alot of them tend to overheat and shut off. and i would go with two 10's if you can fit/afford them. just remember to upgrade your alt. and battery if planning to run some high power amps.

i might be able to fit a 12" sub. the bow is 13.25" wide made with 3/4 inch mdf board. the cutout diameter of the 12" sx is 11.125" so i should be able to mount that in there right? but i dont think my amp will be able to keep up with that sub and i just baught this amp. dammnit
