i have 2 12" audiobahn flame excursion subs and i was wondering if i could put them in a box the reverse way with the flames showing someone on this website said to change the positive and negative wires comeing from the amp to change the (push pull)??would this harm the subs?? i was also wondering if it is possible to face the subs this way what type of box to choose ported or sealed
you can mount them backwards.... allthough i wouldnt reccomend reversing the polarity... if it works ittle sound like butterhole.
mounting a sub inside out wouldnt matter for a sealed box IMO but for a ported box you have to make up for sub displacememnt... if you mound it inside out make sure the surround wont scrape the cutout.. so if your subs have a 11 and 1/8th cutout make the cutout 11 and 1/4
ported and sealed is a personal preference.. it's about how you want it to sound
