this is in referance with the "scratchy sound" thread. i took a plate off the back of the motor cuz i couldn't get my trunk to shut, i thought it was just for looks but evidently it holds the voice coil in alignment because if u move the magnet it goes away. thanx anyways guys
What kinda sub was it? You shouldn't be able to just take the plate off like nothing, they're usually riveted onto the magnet, and hard as he.ll to get off. Did you beat the hang out of the sub just to get the back plate plate off?
