Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4493 Registered: Nov-04 | Just what is your budget? Why isn't RE on the list? I personally wouldn't buy any of them. Save a little more and invest in a better sub, once. |
Silver Member Username: TdbdadrummerPost Number: 332 Registered: Aug-05 | Isaac, what's wrong with the Diamond? Aren't they a good brand? |
Silver Member Username: QuickshotCharlotte, North Carolina U.S. Post Number: 287 Registered: Aug-05 | you would be severly underpowering those Type Rs...actually all those.....personally i would get the Diamond Audios, better build quality |

Gold Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 1875 Registered: Aug-05 | www.reaudio.com they have 2 models that are DVC 4ohm.(it is $25 more to change the "stock" configuration. the 2 models are the Resonant Engineering RE and the Resonant Engineering SE. the RE RE's are rated at 175wRMS a piece, but will handle up to 250wRMS with no problem i'm told. and the RE SE's are rated at 600wRMS a piece, but will also take more. these are the prices of the subs before shipping RE8- $49 RE10- $59 RE12- $69 SE10- $149 SE12- $169 SE15- $199 what else would you like to know? |
Silver Member Username: XkawnPost Number: 168 Registered: Jul-05 | this is what i'd like to know, muddy. would those se's pound hard in a sealed box that's about 1.95cu ft for the pair??? and how would the sound quality be. i'm pushing two infinity 12.1 dvc perfects right now........ |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 1877 Registered: Aug-05 | the SQ on the Re SE's is better than that of the SX, but isn't as detailed as say the XXX. they would hit VEEEEEEEERY hard. they would definitely hit harder than the Perfects imo. |
Bronze Member Username: Terry6405Sullivan, IN US Post Number: 21 Registered: Sep-05 | it looks like id have too much power for the RE and not enough for the SE |
Bronze Member Username: Terry6405Sullivan, IN US Post Number: 22 Registered: Sep-05 | someone just tell me what subs(under a total or 300) to get with my amp hifonics BX1205D somthing i can be satisfied with that is a quality brand |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 1878 Registered: Aug-05 | yeah, that's one thing i don't understand about RE, they have such a huge jump in rated wattage from their first to second sub. |
Bronze Member Username: Terry6405Sullivan, IN US Post Number: 23 Registered: Sep-05 | Muddy, rovin, any suggestions? |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4496 Registered: Nov-04 | IDMax 12" goes for $250 - $290 on the average. RE XXX 12" sold for $325. Your budget of $300 isn't that far off from getting a quality sub. I'd save a bit more than waste money. |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 1900 Registered: Aug-05 | where did you get those prices? |
Silver Member Username: Riebread77Post Number: 663 Registered: Jun-05 | I want to know where you go those prices too... IDMAX = $330 or so new w/ warranty XXX = $349 new w/ warranty (+ - $20) |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4498 Registered: Nov-04 | Before I bought my MT, I was looking at IDMAx and RE XXX on eBay. Both IDMax sold for under $290. It was the new version too, v3. 15" MT sold for $305 before too, 15" XXX for $325. |
Anonymous | well, IMO.... and i'm just an anon so I don't know that much... I'd get a single sub DVC 2ohm and put it in a vented box. I don't know about your available space, but I do know you want SQL, which can easily be obtained with a vented enclosure. You could run a single RE SX and it would POUND. essientally you would probably get about 850-900watts from that amp running at 1ohm (rms) |
Gold Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 1017 Registered: Jul-05 | Or just follow what Muddy is doing & get a single IDMAX - that would sound shweeeeeeeeeeeet ! . But like i told in your other thread - i'm strongly considering 2 of these rated on this site as 350wrms but ID site says 500wrms .......... |
