No, I think you can wire it to 0.5, 2, or 8 ohms.

I got a question for anyone who knows.Im running

Subs - 2 x Kenwood KFC-XW1002DVC 10" Dual 2-ohm Voice Coil

Amps - 2 x Kenwood KAC-8152D 550w rms each at 2 ohms running one each to one each sub.

I have the subs wired for 2 ohm but at my speaker terminals my meter reads 1.4 ohms. at both amps. Is this a good thing or bad? I can wire them for a 4 ohm load but then I'd only be seeing 300w rms to each sub. Thanks

Are you having any problems with the amps?

The only amp that I can think of off hand is the RF P8002... lol thats just because thats what I have, but its 800 x 1 at 4 ohms. Do you have a price range?
