according to the specs both give BB isnt that far behind dynamat but on the dynamat site they show it differently. What do u guys think? Ever heard of FatMat it seems to be good to, what should i buy? Keep in mind i need about 75sq ft total for what i have to do.

That Fatmat is really thin about 1 mil. I bought 100 sq for about 99 bucks but I had to double it up so I would go with the brown bread.

1 mil is 1/1000 of an inch. Fatmat is actually about 45mils and Dynamat is about 70mil.

mils and mm are two different measurement. A "mil" is an english unit that is 1/1000 on an inch, a "mm" is a metric unit that is 1/10 of a cm or 1/1000 of a meter. so u are both right.

http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=268&1=269&3=741 dynamat 36 square feet is 136 bucks...

you can get 120 square feet of edead for 130 shipped, double it up and it will be better than dynamat extreem...but for the same price as 36 square feet of dyanamaet you can triple it up

just go with that stuff used on roof to waterproof it. its the exact same $hit. you can get a big as$ roll for like 25 bucks. it works great . i double layered my whole expedition(roof,4 doors, rear gate, rear side fenders and fire wall) for under 200 bucks. its one of the most quietest vehicles around

If you can find it. I'd like to see a link to that stuff DR MAX. In a previous post it was mentioned that it could be occasionally had at Home Depot, but since its generaly used in northern climes where freezing is a problem I've had no luck finding it down here in Florida, but I still check the roofing section every time I hit the Home Depot just in case.

I can't remember what the stuff is called: "Snow" Seal, Ice Guard or somethin like that.

FISHY---i'm pretty sure you can find it at any home depot because its used to waterproof house roofs and it rains pretty much any where. you can also find it at Lows. the brand names will be different but its still the same $hit. its got adhesive on one side, you just peel the plastic film on one side and stick it where you want to. don't waste your money on that other expensive $hit. I've got another roll some where, I just gotta look for it and I'll post the name. It's readily available in 4 diff. sizes, something like 6",12", 2' and 5' rolls( sizes are width). Ask around, you'll find it.

For the price you could triple layer it cheaper than you could single layer it with the other stuff, and that would be WAY better than those others... heck, even double layer (which is probably plenty) should be better than a single layer of the others.

dude. that's crazy. it looks like its the same stuff as Peel-n-Seal. the only reason i didnt get that was b/c i could get eDead cheaper. eDead v1 and peel-n-seal is only 45mils thick, too. here's alink for peel-n-seal - $90 + $14.50 shipping
http://www.abccatalog.com/store/viewitem.asp?idproduct=2579950436

i read a lot of great reviews by people who used that in their vehicles, and like i said, the only reason i didnt get it was teh eDead was slightly cheaper. we need to find out more about the Everguard stuff. if it's the same as peel-n-seal, i'm getting 200sq ft for my 4runner!!

what kind of backing is on it? is it aluminum like everything else?
