I have a 94 Totota Pickup and I just got 2 12in Sony Subwoofers. My friend gave me a cheap 2000watt amplifier. Do I need a new alternator or what what other things can I get?
If it's stock then it'll produce somewhere around 65A - 75A. Since you said it was a cheap amp, it's probably 2000W peak, meaning it can be anywhere between 80W rms - 200W rms. Some manufacturer use a factor of 10! That is pure lie but they actually do it.

Yeah its a cheap amp, but I got it for free. So I don't need a new alternator? Anyways I dont think I am going to install the amp in my truck. But if I did would I need a new alternator with 2 12inch subs and 2000watt amp?
if it were true 2000 watts yes you would but being a cheapo I doubt it you should be alright. As far as the maxima ? goes you can get whatever you want depends on how much cash you got.
